The Signals Officers’ Association is a common national defence organisation for officers, warrant officers, special officers or those in leading positions in electronic communications in the field of signals.

The aim of the Signals Officers’ Association is to

  • support national defense by bringing together people serving in the Finnish Defence Forces and reservists working in the electronic communications
  • help its members to create contacts with each other
  • assist members to develop their professional skills
  • cherish the traditions of signals officers

To promote these aims, the Association

  • organises official functions, seminars, and lectures
  • arranges study trips and visits to institutions and historical sites both in Finland and abroad
  • prepares material for publication and provides information
  • co-operates in particular with voluntary defence organisations

The Signals Officers’ Association provides a modern forum for establishing a network for those working in electronic communications. The vast expertise and knowledge of its members can thus benefit all members more effectively.
